Record Removal & Correction Request
We never charge for removals or corrections. This site doesn’t publish mugshots, names or individual arrest pages, and it doesn’t store booking records. If anything here is wrong, outdated or about you, tell us with the form below and we’ll fix or remove it. If your booking photo appears on another website, Florida Statute §901.43 requires that publisher to remove it free within 10 days of a proper written request.
What we can and can’t change
| We can | We can’t |
|---|---|
| Correct or update any fact on our guides (addresses, phone numbers, rules, legal summaries) | Change or remove official records held by Escambia County Corrections, the Sheriff’s Office, the Clerk of Court or any court |
| Remove anything on this site that identifies you | Remove your photo from the official county Jail View (that’s a public record; sealing or expungement is handled through the courts and FDLE) |
| Help you find the right process for other sites | Remove content on websites we don’t control |
If the optional live-search tool is ever switched on, it shows results only to the person who searches, straight from the official portal. It doesn’t create pages, isn’t indexed by search engines, and stores nothing beyond a short-lived technical cache that’s deleted automatically.
Submit a request
How we handle requests: we acknowledge requests within two business days and act on valid correction and removal requests within 7 days, usually much sooner. We don’t ask for ID to correct our own guides. If a request concerns someone other than you, we may ask how you’re connected.
Your booking photo is on another website?
Under Florida Statute §901.43:
- A business that publishes booking photos may not charge to remove them.
- Send a written request by registered mail to the publisher’s registered agent, with proof of your identity and details identifying the photo.
- The publisher must remove it within 10 calendar days. If it doesn’t, you can sue for an injunction and a $1,000-per-day civil penalty, plus attorney’s fees.

Sealing or expunging an arrest record
Removing a photo from websites doesn’t erase the arrest itself. If charges were dropped or dismissed, or adjudication was withheld, you may be eligible to seal or expunge the record through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the court. Talk to a Florida criminal defense attorney about eligibility.
Frequently asked questions
Does this site publish mugshots or arrest records?
No. We don’t publish booking photos, names or individual arrest pages, and we don’t keep a database of inmates. We explain how to use the official Escambia County Jail View and link to it. If the optional live search is switched on, results appear only to the person searching and aren’t stored or indexed.
How much does it cost to remove information from this site?
Nothing. We never charge for corrections or removals, and in Florida it’s illegal for a business that publishes booking photos to charge for removing them (Florida Statute §901.43). If any website asks you to pay to remove your mugshot, don’t pay. Use the free legal process instead.
