What is Escambia County Jail View?

Escambia County Jail View is the public page of the county’s jail management system, at inmatelookup.myescambia.com. It’s free, needs no account and works around the clock. Families, attorneys and bail agents use it to confirm whether someone is in custody, why, and what the bond is.

The same tool goes by many names in searches — ESCO Jail View, ECSO Jail View, Pensacola Jail View, “my Escambia” jail view, or simply jailview. They all lead to the one official portal. “ESCO” is the facility code for the Escambia County jail. “ECSO” is the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, which ran the jail until 2013, so older bookmarks and news stories still use that name. How do you search Escambia County Jail View? (step by step)

To search Escambia County Jail View, open the official portal, type the person’s last name, choose Current, Released or Both under Search For, and press Submit. Leave the name blank and fill in booking dates to list everyone booked in a date range. Results show photo, status, bond and charges.

1. Open the portal. The official Jail View loads on the “BOOKED Last 24 Hours” list, with a count at the top (for example “24 BOOKED Last 24 Hours”).
2. Last Name — the most important box. Type it exactly as it would appear on an ID.
3. First Name — add it if the last name is common. Leave Middle Name blank unless you’re sure how it was entered.
4. Begin / End Booking Date — list everyone booked in a range (MM/DD/YYYY).
5. Begin / End Release Date — list people released in a range.
6. Search For — Current Inmates Only, Released Inmates Only or Both Current And Released.
7. Sorted By / Order — for recent arrests choose Booking Date and Descending.
8. Submit. Each match appears as a block with a photo, status, booking details, any holds and a CHARGES table. Long lists end with Load more results.
9. Read the results. Enlarge Photo opens the booking photo. Court Information under a charge shows court details for that case.

If you press Submit with every box empty, the portal says “Please fill in at least one search criteria”. Use Reset between searches. More help: Escambia County inmate search tips.

How do you see who was booked in the last 24 hours?

Open the official Jail View without searching. Its front page is the 24 hour jail view — everyone booked into the Escambia County Jail in the previous 24 hours, in alphabetical order. The list rolls continuously, so a person booked yesterday morning drops off this morning even if they’re still in jail.

Where can you see Escambia County Jail View mugshots?

Booking photos (mugshots) appear on the official Jail View next to each record. Click Enlarge Photo under the thumbnail to see the full image. The photo stays on the county’s server — this site deliberately doesn’t copy or republish mugshots.

What does a Jail View record show?

Every record uses the same layout: a navy bar with the name (last, first) and race/sex, then these fields.

The two letters after each charge are the degree and the level. T F is a third-degree felony, F M a first-degree misdemeanor, S M a second-degree misdemeanor and N N is not a new crime (warrants, probation violations, contempt). Full code chart · Field-by-field walkthrough

Escambia County Jail: key facts, address and phone

Several websites still list the old jail on North “L” Street. The county’s current contacts list the jail at 3080 N. Pace Blvd. These facts are checked against official county pages.

What happens after someone is arrested in Escambia County?

After an arrest, the person is booked at the jail on N. Pace Blvd., then appears on Jail View. A judge sees them by video at first appearance within 24 hours, sets bond or release conditions, and appoints the Public Defender if needed. Release after bond usually takes a few hours.

How do you contact someone in the Escambia County Jail?

Why can’t you find someone on Jail View?

• Booking isn’t finished. New arrests can take several hours to appear.
• The name doesn’t match. Try the last name alone, the legal name, a maiden name, or each half of a hyphenated name.
• They were released. Switch Search For to Both Current And Released. Check a release
• Wrong county. Arrests in Milton, Gulf Breeze or Navarre go to the Santa Rosa County jail. Brewton and Atmore are in Escambia County, Alabama, a different county with the same name. Mobile is Mobile Metro Jail. Which jail?

Pensacola, North Escambia and “Pensacola city jail”

There’s one county jail for all of Escambia County, Florida. Arrests by the Pensacola Police Department, the Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Highway Patrol and other agencies all go to the Escambia County Correctional Facility, and they all appear on the same Jail View list. That includes North Escambia — Century, McDavid, Molino, Walnut Hill and Cantonment. Pensacola doesn’t run a separate city jail.
